ABOUT JAMQUEST

We inspire and mobilize young people to use sports to help kids in need go to school.

JamQuest started as a middle school service project in 2008: a simple basketball tournament that rallied 50 kids to raise $3,000 for kids in Kenya.

Since that basketball tournament, we’ve seen kids use all sorts of things to make a difference for other kids: art shows, music festivals, volleyball tournaments, open-mic nights, and so much more.

WHAT WE DO

Blue text that reads "YOUTH HELPING YOUTH" surrounded by concentric circles and arrows.

The boy is wearing a red Bulls jersey with the number 23, and the girls are in navy and black jerseys with the word 'Prince' on them. One girl is sitting on the floor pointing at the camera, while the others stand with confident expressions.

Send Kids to School

Train & Mobilize Youth

We partner with local organizations in Kenya to pay the school fees of kids that are vulnerable and in need.

We train students and teams to run their own sports (and other) fundraisers to send kids in need to school.

OUR BELIEFS

OUR PARTNER: PLAY STRONG

Play Strong was founded by Steve Shoff, father of JamQuest founder Nick Shoff. Together, Nick and Steve joined forces around one simple idea: what if sports could be used to make a real difference in the lives of others?

By combining their vision, JamQuest became the nonprofit arm of Play Strong, equipping students with the tools, training, and inspiration to use sports as a force for global change.

Together, JamQuest and Play Strong show young athletes that what they love — whether basketball, volleyball, or any sport — can become a platform to lead, serve, and make an impact.

OUR FOUNDER

Nick Shoff started JamQuest as a middle schooler with a simple idea: young people can use their passions to change lives.

Today, he speaks to students about purpose, leadership, and using what you love to serve others, inspiring thousands to take action.
